Superstar, Where You From, How's It Goin?

Brit Brit released her video for "Womanizer" last night and we are rather pleased with the results. ABC News premiered it after the 20/20 interview featuring Barbara Walters and Peter Cook of Christie Brinkley fame. Coincidence? Probably not. We're guessing Baba had it planned all along. Rather than strangle Elizabeth Hasslebeck on 'The View,' she channeled her disgust into a subtle slamming of Cook and his douchebag ways. While Peter may be a Womanizer, at least he's not a Republican. That's something. And somewhere in Vegas right now, K-Fed is rejoicing in his revisited relevance. Who? Exactly.

Sarah Palin Is Kind Of Annoying

The folks at Funny or Die came up with the above Sarah Palin Spoof starring Gina Gershon. We were just reading about Palin's son, Track, and his addiction to Oxycontin. Gross.

Christian Is Our Hero

Generally we try not to be too sentimental here on the blog, but the story of Christian the lion is too precious to pass by. Over 8 million YouTube viewers have met Christian, and his story is now being made into a Hollywood movie. Now pardon us while we wipe our tears and go hug our baby puppies. Enjoy.

Hello, I'm Baba Wawa

ABC News is premiering The Royal Family tonight on 20/20 and it looks awesome. The special is made up of BBC footage filmed over the course of a year. Thanks to Barbara Walters for bringing us the hotness that is Prince Harry, and for letting us watch Her Majesty ask, "Less Dressy?"

Rosie Needs A Break From Blogging

Rosie O'Donnell is calling this photo of her daughter Vivienne (draped in live ammunition) "art." We're no experts on art, although we would really like to see the 60's exhibit at the Whitney, but that's besides the point. What is our point again? Oh...so Rosie posted this photo on her blog which we can only imagine is some sort of message about Iraq. We get it, Rosie. You're very, very, very opposed to the war and to President Bush. We're all in agreement on that, but inflicting irreparable damage on the psyche of your adorable daughter will not help anyone. Least of all, poor Vivi. We happen to think you may be heading dangerously close to a dark spot and should really talk to your therapist about your medication. When we say dark, we're referring to the crazy lesbian haircut (which you have admitted was a huge mistake and scared your children) and the waste of millions on that Broadway flop starring Boy George. We don't remember what it was called, but we do know it bombed. Sort of like Broadway's version of Gigli. Or Glitter. We definitely don't want to go there again. Please.

Someone's Been Naughty & Needs A Time Out

As the entire world now is aware, Rosie O'Donnell will not return to 'The View' to finish out the final 3 weeks of the season. She asked ABC to leave early and they agreed and everyone seems to be all happy and seeing rainbows. Yeah, right. Above is a caption from Rosie's blog (click on it to enlarge) which she posted this morning at rosie.com. The one about the mustache on Elisabeth's picture is in regards to a person defacing photos of her at the ABC offices on Thursday which turned out to be Rosie's head writer. Seriously. There has got to be a more mature way to handle things. Or not.

Where Is Barbara Walters When You Need Her?

Wow. Elisabeth has some serious pregnancy hormones raging inside of her because girlfriend lost her shit this morning. Granted, it must be tough being the only Republican on 'The View' but screaming like a lunatic is not a good look. We love the new split screen, however. Very Judge Judy.

That Tune You're Singing, Is It New?

The new lawyer for Paris Hilton officially dropped the Hilton family appeal of her 45 day jail term. Kathy Hilton phoned her good friend Barbara Walters, who in turn, mentioned Kathy's new sentiment on The View yesterday. Now Kathy isn't calling judges ridiculous and complaining about how much money the case was costing them, she's saying she's glad Paris will serve as an example to those young girls that look up to her. Drinking and driving is bad. Today, the court said Paris will only have to serve 23 days which will be in a "special needs" cell. They were impressed that she showed up to the hearing. Seriously. Her lawyers paid them to say that.

A Rosie By Any Other Name

Somebody dropped the ball over at ABC and Rosie O'Donnell is leaving 'The View.' She said that they couldn't come to an agreement about her new contract, but that she would occasionally guest host next season and do specials about depression and autism. The only reason this show is still on the air is because of Rosie and next year will undoubtedly suck. Rosie released this statement: "This has been an amazing experience, and one I wouldn't have traded for the world. Working with Barbara, Joy and Elisabeth has been one of the highlights of my career, but my needs for the future just didn't dovetail with what ABC was able to offer me. To all the viewers out there, I just want to say 'thank you' for opening up your hearts and your homes to me this past year. But you can always find me at rosie.com. Here's hoping there's more confetti for all of us going forward." Bummer.

The View Says Buh-Bye To White Oprah

Dina Lohan is all over the news this week. First The Post called her out for doing lines with her daughter, Lindsay. Then the Harper's Bazaar issue arrived in mailboxes and that interview did not help her cause. Now, Dina has been abruptly dropped from a scheduled appearance on 'The View." Rosie O'Donnell called a spade a spade and took issue with Dina's drinking and clubbing with her daughter just weeks after she left rehab. A little background on Dina-she was once a fame-seeking Rockette before she became Lindsay's manager. Dina regularly goes out to Manhattan clubs until 6 and 7 in the morning, and at one point told a reporter that she wanted to be "The White Oprah." Apparently she had delusions that someone was going to give her a talk show. In her Harper's interview Dina talked about Lindsay's situation in regards to the paparazzi, "She's in such a whirlwind, she's in a tornado. I mean, we're talking serious earthquake, you know? Look at me. Princess Diana will happen again." Now is it a tornado or an earthquake? One takes place in Kansas, the other California. Dina went on, "And she's from an addictive personality genetically. And in that world, they give you things like candy. Hurt your ankle? 'Let's give her something.'" So basically she's saying Lindsay loves booze and coke and now painkillers? We all know about her frequent hospital stays. Dina Lohan needs to stop talking.

The Jersey Girl Scandal

So, this is what all the hoopla surrounding Antonella Barba is about. Rosie O'Donnell made enemies of the producers of American Idol after she said they were racist and weightist (is this a word?) for not kicking Barba off this season, after Frenchie Davis was eliminated a few seasons ago. The View is not allowed to air clips from the show anymore due to Rosie's statements and Barbara was seemingly taking their side on this feud. (As are we.) First of all, these photos are not that bad and Antonella was not paid to have them taken. She is not nude in any of them and the two that look staged were taken for a calendar that she gave to her former boyfriend. On the other hand, Frenchie was paid to pose nude on a website that promoted underage pornography. That was her job. Much different. Anyway, Antonella still can't sing that well and Lakisha Jones or Melinda Doolittle is going to win the whole thing in the end so this is just a moot point. Just thought you should know.

Make It Stop

Donald Trump just will not let it go with this Rosie O'Donnell business. Seriously, it's over dude. Last week he trotted out his daughter Ivanka and her big fake boobs and got into an argument with Meredith Viera on the Today show. Basically he sounded like an idiot, as always. Then it was announced that he's deciding whether or not he will allow Miss USA to pose nude in Playboy. (He said it would have to be done tastefully). THEN nude pictures of his wife Melania appeared all over the internet. THEN his show premiered to its lowest ratings ever. THEN he wrote the following letter:
Dear Rosie,
I hope you had a wonderful vacation with your wife -- you needed the rest.
An article in today's New York Post, indicates that you blew up at Barbara Walter for being a 'liar.' Actually, I don't blame you, but in fact she lied to both of us! After your maniacal and foolish rant against me two weeks ago, Barbara called me from her vacation (I did not call her) in order to apologize for your behavior. She had heard that I was going to retaliate against you and tried to talk me out of it. She very much wanted me to go on the show as soon as she got back so that she could 'patch things up' (I said no). To be exact, she said that 'working with her is like living in hell' and, more pointedly, 'Donald never get into the mud with pigs' and, 'don't worry, she won't be here for long.' Barbara knows exactly what she told me over the phone and she has to live with it. Perhaps that's why her initial statement was so mild!
In another incident, when I saw her eating at Le Cirque about two months ago and asked how 'Rosie was doing,' 'she sarcastically rolled her eyes and said 'Donald, do you have to ruin my meal.'
In any event, you have a good reason to be angry. Please give my warmest regards to Kelly!
Sincerely, Donald J. Trump
P.S.
I was surprised that you let your spat with Barbara get into the newspapers, but, as I have always said and as you proved with Rosie, the magazine, you are very self destructive. You must work on this for your own good!"

Can somebody please make him go away? Please?

He Said, She Said

It's back to business as usual on 'The View' following the holiday break, except Rosie O'Donnell is on vacation this week. That does not mean that her war with Donald Trump is on vacation as Barbara Walters took over where she left off. This morning she made a statement that ABC asked her to in regards to Trump's bankruptcies saying that his casino companies have gone bankrupt several times, but that he has not filed for personal bankruptcy. Moving on, Walters said that what Trump said was untrue. Basically she refuted everything Trump said about Rosie and about her. For example, he said Barbara was unhappy with her hiring of Rosie. Not true. Trump said Rosie's own talk show had bad ratings. Not true. And so on and so on. Barbara also talked about getting naked in the hot-tub with Judge Judy and Cindy Adams on her vacation which is kind of unrelated to this Trump thing, but we thought you should know.

Trump The Grump

Okay, so there is not enough time in the day to properly explain the feud that exploded between Donald Trump and Rosie O'Donnell so we'll let you decide for yourselves. The always adorable Anderson Cooper wraps it all up in a pretty little bow. Enjoy.

Offended By Rosie

Last week Rosie O'Donnell inadvertently started another feud with her comments on 'The View.' Forget Kelly Ripa, this time she offended millions of people after she made the above statement regarding Danny DeVito's drunken appearance on the show. Rosie was labeled a racist by many and made this on-air apology following the incident, "This apparently was very offensive to a lot of Asian people. So I asked Judy, who's Asian and works here in our hair and makeup department. I said, 'Was it offensive to you?' And she said, 'Well, kinda. When I was a kid people did tease me by saying ching-chong.' So apparently 'ching-chong,' unbeknownst to me, is a very offensive way to make fun, quote-unquote, or mock, Asian accents. Some people have told me it's as bad as the n-word. I was like, really? I didn't know that." O'Donnell said that her joke was "never intended to hurt anyone, and I'm sorry for those people who felt hurt or were teased on the playground," but added that in the future, "there's a good chance that I'll do something like that again ... Not on purpose."

The Vagina Monologues

Brit Brit's va-jay-jay has made more news this week than all of Hollywood combined. Today her vagina garnered its own Associated Press story and was the talk of the town from The View to The New York Post. These are shots of a drunk Britney on Monday night in LA, and believe it or not are some of the better photos we've seen of her in recent days. We could say something about the lack of bra, but as long as we can't see her you-know-what, we're content. Speaking of, her vagina scored a hat trick this week and made its third appearance last night at a gas station. We normally don't do this sort of thing, but many of our readers have requested that we post the pics, so click here and scroll down. And no, we won't post them all so please don't ask. Now let's all move on and begin the healing process.

Outed By Rosie

On Friday, Clay Aiken was filling in for Regis on Live With Regis & Kelly and committed the ultimate faux pas by covering Kelly's mouth with his hand while they were interviewing guests. Kelly removed his hand and said, "That's a no-no. I don't know where that hand has been." Yesterday, Kelly explained to Regis that Clay's behavior was disrespectful. End of story. No, no, no. On The View this morning, Rosie O'Donnell threw in her two cents and said she found Kelly's statement to be homophobic. Now we're going to get hate mail from the Claymates, but it is accepted that Aiken is a gay man, albeit not out of the closet. If there was any question, O'Donnell just quashed it. So Kelly called into The View and Rosie and Kelly got into it. Kelly said Rosie should know better and to think that she was homophobic is outrageous. Rosie insisted that was the way she saw it and she just wanted to get her view across. Okay, so we love Rosie and all but her accusation was way out of line. BUT, her paranoid defense of gay people does explain her love for her Tommy Boy.

Terms Of Embarrassment

This picture is reminiscent of the good old days when Tara Reid actually had friends slash babysitters that were able to contain the obnoxious behavior that characterizes her personality. Even as a young actress with mild success, Tara was completely out of touch with reality. Her inflated sense of self is on display in this interview with Howard Stern while her defining moment of 2006 is one of the web's most frequently downloaded clips. The "Tara Tour" made a stop on The View Thursday so that she could play the victim, a role she has perfected. Her trademark cigarette and booze voice was accented by a touch of percocet or codeine (think Paula Abdul on American Idol) so her words didn't come out properly. Add to that these exchanges: Tara, holding up a piece of paper, "Say this is a piece of paper." Joy Behar, "It is a piece of paper, Tara." Audience and co-hosts laugh, Tara turns red. As Rosie O'Donnell and Joy discuss the charity events they hosted the previous night Tara chimes in, "I did work for Until There's A Cause." Rosie had to correct her, "Until There's A Cure." Tara is embarrassed again. Basically we learned that her brother was dating a Playboy Playmate and Tara went to her surgeon without doing research and blah, blah, blah. She claims that her breasts were uneven, that's why she got the implants and she wanted a six-pack stomach, hence the liposuction. She lost her self-confidence and guys that she was with were grossed out by her freak body. Poor thing. Moving on, Eminem revealed on his radio station that he had sex with Tara Reid back in the day which explains her broken engagement to Carson Daly. Nothing says class like sleeping with the friend of your live-in boyfriend. While we are on the topic of engagements, the most pathetic part of the "Tara Tour" was two weekends ago and is the epitome of selfishness and pathetic behavior. A guest at a wedding in Santa Barbara reported on Tara's antics at the rehearsal dinner, "She was the definition of a trainwreck, loudly heckling the family and friends of the bride and groom during their speeches. One of the groom's buddies brought the Reid-tard as his date without telling anyone. If I were the groom, I'd beat the crap out of the guy." The following night, Tara was "blackout drunk before the reception even started. The wedding itself was actually dreamy because Tara spent the night outside in the lobby, crying her drunk face off." Gawker had more details of the weekend with this sighting, "Picture it...The Four Seasons Biltmore in Santa Barbara...mid-afternoon Sunday brunch (which btw is $65...yeah, we were shocked too)...we walk into the main dining room and I think to myself, "damn...that skank looks like Tara Reid." And it was; she was sitting at a table in the front quadrant of the room and positioned so that no matter when you walked in you could see her. Pucci-like do-rag on her head, tight jeans and some sort of Flash Dance-esque top (I must say she did look quite fit and appeared to be sober). We were then seated right behind her. And now for the good stuff...in the middle of brunch she gets up and starts pacing around the restaurant on her sidekick. She wasn't talking loud enough for anyone to hear, but she was walking back and forth over the entire front half of the restaurant; sometimes she stopped by other people's tables to continue her conversation. The sad part was that no one stopped her for an autograph or recognized her...the longer she talked and walked, the more she gesticulated to get people to notice her -- some angry "do what I say" motions, pointing at nothing and I did see her stomp at least 4 times. This went on for at least 10-15 minutes. Seriously. Her brunch companion (male, sandy hair, looked a little like Michael Douglas but probably only in his late 30s/40s) just sat there with his head on his hand and watched. I must try and get down there more often." So there it is. Tara Reid hits rock bottom, ruins an innocent couple's wedding weekend and doesn't even have the manners to pretend to feel badly about it. No apology, no explanation. Just more of the same "Look at me!" childish behavior. So, yes, we'll give you some attention. We'll even introduce you to our friend. Tara? Meet Karma. Let us know how it works out.

Madonna And Child

It's one thing after another surrounding the adoption of their baby for Madonna and husband, Guy Ritchie. People were upset that they were getting special expedited treatment in bringing their new son David home. The couple released this statement yesterday: 'My husband and I began the adoption process many months prior to our trip to Malawi. I did not wish to disclose my intentions to the world prior to the adoption happening as this is a private family matter. After learning that there were over one million orphans in Malawi, it was my wish to open up our home and help one child escape an extreme life of hardship, poverty and in many cases death, as well as expand our family. Nevertheless, we have gone about the adoption procedure according to the law like anyone else who adopts a child. Reports to the contrary are totally inaccurate. The procedure includes an 18-month evaluation period after which time we hope to make this adoption permanent. This was not a decision or commitment that my family or I take lightly. I am overwhelmed and inspired by my trip to Malawi and hope that it helps bring attention to how much more the world needs to do to help the children of Africa. My heartfelt thanks for all the good wishes I have received and I hope the press will allow my family some room for us to experience the joy we feel to have David home.' Madonna recently donated $3 million to the orphanages of Malawi and with BFF Rosie O'Donnell talking about her goodwill on 'The View,' Madonna's stock is definitely rising. Although Madonna did hand out signed copies of her children's book to people in Malawi, she didn't directly mention Kaballah. Smart.

Take Those Old Records Off The Shelf

Okay, so Tom Cruise apologized to Brooke Shields and she went on 'The Tonight Show' and talked to Jay Leno about it on Friday. Presumably Shields was promoting her guest arc on 'Nip/Tuck' this season and we're sure there was begging (or large amounts of cash) involved on Tom's part to make it all come off so flawlessly. On Tuesday, Rosie O'Donnell returned to ABC as the moderator of 'The View,' where she mentioned that she was on her meds these days so we should not expect anymore crazy lesbian haircuts. When asked about her infamous love for her Tommy and his dislike for anti-depressants she said something to the effect of, "I'm not saying who this huge bouquet of flowers is from, but it could be from Tom Cruise." Perhaps the 40 percent plunge in his likeability rating during the past year has convinced Cruise to cut out the crazy. A rep for Marketing Evaluation, Inc., a company that measures Q ratings (how the public perceives celebrities) said, "Compared to 2005, he's [Cruise] shown a dramatic decrease in appeal. And his negative reaction which is the other side of the spectrum is virtually double, up 100 percent." There was the Paramount divorce, then the announcement that the Six Flags Guy was going to finance Cruise's company, then all of a sudden we have a week of brilliant spin. Hopefully Cruise has gotten the hint that the Good Ship Scientology is sinking and his career is treading water along side it. But all hope is not lost. Tom can host a Saturday Night Live this fall and do a 'Risky Business' skit in his underwear. All will be forgiven. Well most of all anyway.
